TripTrack Privacy Policy

All data that TripTrack collects is used solely for providing information to the people you invite to view your uploaded trips.


TripTrack does not sell, share or otherwise disclose your data to anyone unless:


  1. 1.you specifically let us, by inviting people to view your information; or

  2. 2.we receive a court order.


TripTrack does not transmit or collect your phone number, contact lists, or any other data stored on your phone.


TripTrack does not access your location data without your permission. All data must by explicity sent to our server by you.



Information that you can send to TripTrack Server:



1 - When you setup TripTrack on your phone:


Username - Used to identify you in the invitation e-mail you sent to your friends and family and when the people you authorize access your trip information on the web.


Password - Used to authenticate users. Passwords are irreversibly scrambled before being stored in our database. We do not store plain text passwords.


Email - Used for user authentication and for resetting forgotten passwords.



2 - When you send a Trip or Route Stop:


Trip Information: Destination, description - used to identify your trip to your visitors. Trip password - used to give access to your trip information.


Route Stop message - A text you provide to identify a place or location.


Route Stop coordinates - Collected by your mobile GPS and used to show your position on a map.


Route Stop Pictures: Used when you decide to upload them to TripTrack Server.



Cookies:


The TripTrack web site uses cookies solely for session management. Cookies are small text files that are temporarily stored by your web browser. All of our cookies expire as soon as you log out or close the browser window.
